Wipe the riddle dry immediately after use and store it in a dry location. Minor surface rust can often be removed with a soft cloth and mild abrasive cleaner, followed by drying.

This is expected behavior as the riddle is designed to remove stones and debris *larger* than the 10mm holes. It separates finer soil from larger contaminants.
