FAQs

How many children can play on the dome at once?

While the structure is durable, it is designed for domestic use. We recommend monitoring the number of children to ensure safe climbing spacing.

Is the fabric den waterproof?

The fabric is designed for outdoor play, but it is recommended to remove it during extreme weather or winter months to prolong its life.

Can this be installed on concrete?

The frame should be installed on a level surface; while concrete is level, it is safer to place it on a soft surface like grass or impact-absorbing play mats.

What tools do I need for assembly?

All necessary hardware and specialized tools are included in the box; you will likely only need basic household tools to assist.

What is the warranty period?

The Plum Play Metal Climbing Dome comes with a one-year warranty specifically covering rust on the metal components.

Troubleshooting

Structure feels unstable or wobbly

Check all bolts to ensure they are fully tightened and verify that the anti-rotation stability feet are flush with the ground.

Surface rust appears on the frame

Use a soft brush to remove the rust and apply a touch-up paint suitable for powder-coated steel to prevent further oxidation.

Fabric den has come loose

Re-attach the fabric ties to the metal frame, ensuring they are pulled taut to prevent sagging.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

For setup, ensure the frame is placed on a flat, level surface with a clearance zone of at least two meters around all sides to prevent collisions. Assembly requires two adults; follow the provided manual specifically for tightening connections to ensure the anti-rotation stability works correctly. Care for this unit by checking all hardware connections monthly to ensure they remain secure. During heavy rain or winter, consider removing the fabric den to prevent mold or moisture buildup. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the steel frame to remove dust or garden debris.
