FAQs

How do I find the right shade?

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation is designed with smart-tone technology to match a wide range of skin tones. Consider using the Rimmel shade finder tool, or try a few shades on your jawline in natural light to find the best match.

Is this foundation suitable for sensitive skin?

The formula is generally suitable for sensitive skin. However, always do a patch test before applying it to your entire face to ensure there is no adverse reaction.

How much coverage does this foundation provide?

It offers medium coverage, which is buildable. You can apply multiple thin layers for more coverage, if desired.

Does it contain SPF?

Some shades contain SPF. Check the product label to confirm the SPF level for the specific shade you choose.

How long does the foundation last?

It is designed to last up to 24 hours, but this can vary depending on your skin type and environment. Setting it with powder can help extend wear.

Can I use a brush or sponge to apply it?

Yes, you can use a brush, sponge, or your fingertips. A sponge typically provides a more natural finish, while a brush can provide more coverage.

How do I remove the foundation?

Use a makeup remover suitable for your skin type. Micellar water or cleansing oil are good options.

Troubleshooting

Foundation appears cakey.

Apply less product and ensure your skin is properly moisturized before application. Use a damp sponge to blend the foundation thoroughly.

Foundation doesn't match my skin tone.

Re-evaluate the shade match in natural light. Consider mixing two shades to achieve a perfect match or consult a Rimmel shade matching guide.

Foundation wears off quickly.

Use a makeup primer before application and set with a setting powder to increase longevity.

Foundation settles into fine lines.

Use a hydrating primer and apply a very thin layer of foundation. Set the foundation with a fine, translucent powder.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To apply Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, ensure your face is clean and moisturized. Dispense a small amount of foundation onto the back of your hand. Use a makeup sponge, brush, or your fingertips to apply the foundation. Start in the center of your face and blend outwards. Build coverage as needed. For compatibility, this foundation works well with other Rimmel products such as their concealers and powders. To care for your foundation, store it in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. Replace the foundation every 12 months after opening. Always remove the foundation at the end of the day with a suitable makeup remover.
