Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
This runner is designed to be secured to your stairs using standard methods. You will need to purchase and apply a suitable fixing method such as:
- Tack Strips: Install tack strips along the edge of each stair tread, then carefully stretch and secure the runner onto the strips.
- Carpet Adhesive: Apply a strong, appropriate carpet adhesive to the back of the runner or directly to the stairs, pressing the runner firmly into place.
- Staples or Nails: For a more permanent fix, carefully staple or nail the runner along the edges, ensuring they are discreetly placed.
Compatibility:
- Suitable for most standard indoor and outdoor staircases.
- Works well on wood, tile, or concrete stairs.
- Consider an anti-slip underlay for added safety and to protect stair surfaces.
Care:
- Regular Cleaning: Vacuum regularly on a medium setting to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Use a mild detergent and water solution for tougher stains, blotting from the outside in. Avoid harsh scrubbing.
- Deep Cleaning: Periodically, or for more significant cleaning, use a carpet cleaner designed for synthetic fibers or a professional cleaning service.
- Reversing: To reverse the runner, carefully remove the existing securing method, flip the runner to the unworn side, and re-secure it using your chosen method.
