Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Identify sturdy anchor points: walls, posts, or strong trees.
- Measure and plan the desired coverage area and angle.
- Attach the shade sail using the reinforced stainless steel D-rings. We recommend using ropes, carabiners, or turnbuckles (sold separately) for secure and adjustable tensioning.
- Ensure the sail is taut to allow water to run off effectively and prevent flapping in the wind.
Compatibility:
The Kookaburra Shade Sail is compatible with various mounting solutions, provided the anchor points are strong enough to support the tension. It can be attached to existing structures like pergolas, fences, or dedicated poles.
Care:
- Cleaning: Machine washable at 40 degrees Celsius. Use a mild detergent. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the tension and anchor points, especially after strong winds or heavy rain. Clean off debris like leaves or bird droppings promptly.
- Storage: For extended periods of non-use or during harsh weather (heavy storms, snow), it is advisable to take the shade sail down to prolong its lifespan.
