No, this product is designed for hand washing only to maintain the hand-tufted structure.
Yes, Homescapes items are handmade in India, and a portion of the proceeds directly supports the local craftsmen and their families.
Yes, the rug is OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning it is tested for harmful substances and is safe for sensitive skin.
This specific variant measures 50cm x 80cm (approximately 20 inches x 31 inches).
While the high-quality cotton is durable, prolonged exposure to direct, intense sunlight can cause fading in any natural fiber rug.
Use a sharp pair of scissors to carefully trim the loose thread flush with the pile. Never pull on a loose thread, as it can cause further unraveling.
Place a non-slip rug pad underneath the mat to increase grip and prevent accidental slips.
To keep your Homescapes rug in top condition, avoid placing it in direct, prolonged sunlight to prevent potential color fading. Because this is a hand-tufted cotton product, vacuuming should be done on a low-suction setting without a beater bar to prevent pulling the tufted threads. Should you need to clean a spill, treat it immediately with a damp, clean cloth. When the rug requires a thorough refresh, hand wash gently in cool water and allow it to air dry completely away from direct heat sources. Avoid professional harsh chemical cleaning to preserve the integrity of the cotton fibers.
