Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before your first ride, ensure the following:
- Assembly: If the bike is not fully assembled, follow the manufacturer's instructions to properly install the components.
- Suspension Setup: Adjust the suspension settings (fork and shock) to match your weight and riding style. Consult the RockShox manual for guidance.
- Tire Pressure: Check and adjust tire pressure according to the trail conditions. Lower pressures provide more grip, while higher pressures reduce rolling resistance.
- Brake Inspection: Verify that the brakes are functioning correctly before each ride.
Compatibility:
The Fuel EXe 9.5 is designed to be compatible with standard mountain bike components. However, specific parts like the motor and battery are proprietary to Trek and TQ. Ensure any replacement parts are compatible with these systems.
Care:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the bike with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using high-pressure washers, which can damage seals and bearings.
- Lubrication: Lubricate the chain and other moving parts as needed to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
- Storage: Store the bike in a dry, covered area to protect it from the elements. Regularly charge the battery, especially during extended storage periods.
