Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the tool, ensure the backing plate is properly secured and the foam pad is centered perfectly to avoid vibration. Always match the pad grade (cutting, polishing, or finishing) to the severity of the paint defects. Compatibility is broad, though it is recommended to use RUPES-specific pads and compounds for the best synergy. For care, keep the ventilation slots free of dust and debris to prevent motor overheating. After each session, remove the foam pad and clean it with a dedicated pad cleaner or compressed air, then wipe down the machine body with a soft, microfiber cloth. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain the integrity of the internal electronic components.
