This 18V 82mm Cordless Planer offers the same advantages as the mains-powered Makita planer Model KP0800. It is powered by Makita's 18v 5.0Ah LXT Li-ion Battery and features STAR Protection Computer Controls for protection against overloading, over-discharging, and over-heating. The planer can achieve a width of 82mm (3") in a single pass and has adjustable depth settings up to 2mm. Its precision machined aluminium base ensures planing accuracy, and the cutter head makes 14000 cuts per minute for fast stock removal. A lock-on button allows for continuous operation, and the controls are ambidextrous for left and right-handed use. Dust extraction is available through a port on the side. The planer can make rebates up to a maximum depth of 9mm. The package includes 2 x 5.0Ah Batteries, a Charger, and a Makpac Case with Inlay. Lithium-ion batteries provide 430% greater run time and 40% weight saving compared to older battery technologies.
