Setup, Compatibility & Care
This tool requires no assembly and is ready for use immediately out of the box. To maintain the integrity of the tool:
- Cleaning: After every use, wipe the stainless steel blade with a damp cloth to remove soil and acidic sap from weeds. Dry thoroughly before storage to prevent any potential surface oxidation.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the wooden handle for signs of splintering. If the wood feels dry, applying a small amount of linseed oil can help preserve the handle and improve grip.
- Storage: Always place the protective cover back on the blade before hanging the tool by its leather strap. This prevents accidental cuts when reaching for other garden supplies and keeps the blade sharp.
