FAQs
How often should I use the Karndean Refresh?
Refresh should be used when the floor starts to look dull or when you notice signs of wear, typically once every few months depending on foot traffic.
Can I use the cleaner on other types of flooring?
This kit is specifically formulated for luxury vinyl flooring; check the manufacturer's guidelines for other floor types before use.
Are the applicator pads reusable?
Yes, rinse the applicator pads thoroughly after use and allow them to air dry completely before storing them.
Do I need a special mop handle for the pads?
No, the included applicator is designed to fit most standard, universal mop handles available in hardware stores.
How long does it take for the floor to dry after applying Refresh?
You should allow the floor to dry completely, typically 30 to 60 minutes, before walking on it or replacing furniture.
Troubleshooting
Streaky floor finish after applying Refresh.
Ensure the floor is completely clean and dry before application, and use a thin, even coat with the provided applicator.
Cleaner is leaving a dull residue.
You are likely using too much product; ensure you are diluting the Karndean Clean according to the recommended ratio.
Stubborn dirt is not lifting with the cleaner.
Use the Karndean Remove product to strip away the old coating and built-up grime, then re-apply a fresh layer of Refresh.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin using the kit, ensure your mop handle is compatible with the supplied applicator pads. Before starting the deep cleaning process, clear the room of all loose debris by sweeping or vacuuming. Always follow the dilution ratios found on the product labels to ensure effective cleaning without leaving a residue. Store the bottles in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain the chemical integrity of the solutions. Regularly check the furniture protector pads; if they become flattened or dirty, replace them to ensure they continue to provide an effective buffer between furniture and your flooring.
