The Sibley Songbirds Jigsaw Puzzle is designed for bird enthusiasts, amateur ornithologists, and puzzle hobbyists looking for a stimulating indoor activity that celebrates nature. The key benefit is the combination of educational, high-quality illustrations by David Allen Sibley with a challenging 1000-piece assembly that rewards patience with a vibrant display of avian beauty. A notable caveat is the high level of detail in the plumage patterns, which requires a well-lit space and significant table surface area to complete comfortably.

The Sibley Songbirds Jigsaw Puzzle typically measures approximately 20 inches by 27 inches once completed.
While it can be a family activity, the 1000-piece count and intricate details are generally better suited for older children, teens, and adults.
The box cover features the full illustration, which serves as your primary guide for assembly.
Yes, using a felt puzzle roll-up mat or a dedicated puzzle board allows you to safely store your progress without losing pieces.
The pieces are made from high-quality, durable recycled cardboard.
Gently disassemble the area and check for 'false fits' where the interlocking shapes are similar but the image does not align perfectly.
Increase ambient lighting or use a desk lamp to better illuminate the subtle differences in tone and texture between the bird feathers.
Use a soft, dry cloth or a fine-bristled brush to gently remove dust from the puzzle surface before assembly.
To begin, ensure you have a clean, flat surface measuring at least 24 by 30 inches. We recommend sorting pieces by color or texture (such as feather patterns vs. background foliage) before starting to expedite the process. For care, keep the puzzle away from direct sunlight to prevent color fading over time. If you wish to preserve your finished puzzle, apply a standard puzzle adhesive to the front surface, let it dry completely, and frame it behind glass. Avoid using liquid cleaners on the pieces as moisture can cause the cardboard to warp or delaminate.
