FAQs
What are the exact dimensions of the fitted sheets and coverlet?
The fitted sheets are designed to fit mattresses ranging from 53 x 80 cm (minimum) to 60 x 90 cm (maximum). The coverlet measures 70 x 86 cm.
Is the coverlet warm enough for winter?
The coverlet is described as lightweight. For colder months, additional safe sleep layers or a warmer sleepsuit may be necessary, following safe sleep guidelines.
Can I use this bedding with any crib?
The bedding is designed for bedside cribs and is compatible with mattresses that fall within the specified dimensions (53 x 80 cm to 60 x 90 cm).
How often should I wash the bedding?
It is recommended to wash baby bedding regularly, typically once a week, or more often if there are any accidents. The durable fabric is designed to withstand frequent washing.
What makes the bamboo jersey special?
Bamboo jersey is known for its exceptional softness, breathability, and hypoallergenic properties, making it ideal for sensitive baby skin. It helps regulate temperature, keeping the baby comfortable.
What does 'feet to foot' position mean for the coverlet?
The 'feet to foot' position is a safe sleep recommendation where the baby's feet are placed at the bottom of the crib, and the coverlet is securely tucked under the mattress at the foot end. This prevents the baby from wriggling up under the covers.
What is the recommended age range for this set?
This starter pack is suitable from birth up to approximately 6 months of age, or until the baby begins to push up or move more actively.
Troubleshooting
Sheet does not fit snugly
Ensure the mattress dimensions fall within the 53 x 80 cm (min) to 60 x 90 cm (max) range. Check that the elasticated edges are fully around the mattress.
Coverlet seems too small/large
The coverlet dimensions (70 x 86 cm) are specifically designed for the 'feet to foot' method. Ensure you are tucking the baby's feet in at the bottom of the crib, with the coverlet tucked securely around the sides and foot of the mattress.
Fabric feels less soft after washing
Follow care instructions precisely. Avoid using harsh detergents or fabric softeners, which can degrade the natural fibers. Tumble dry on low heat as recommended to maintain softness.
