Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installation, ensure your engine is cool to the touch. Start by accessing the carburetor, usually located beneath the seat or body paneling. Remove the top cap of the carburetor to expose the slide assembly, then carefully remove the old diaphragm, taking care not to lose any internal springs or needles. Inspect the slide for any debris before seating the new 101 Octane membrane. It is crucial to ensure the edges of the diaphragm are seated perfectly within the groove of the carburetor body to prevent vacuum leaks. This membrane is compatible with various Baotian and Rex 50cc 4-stroke variants produced between 2004 and 2017. Regularly check the membrane during routine maintenance services to ensure it remains free of tears, cracks, or hardening caused by fuel exposure.
