Product Information
Full details
The MEINL Jam Cajon is an excellent instrument for musicians who need a portable and versatile percussion option for their on-the-go performances. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry to various settings, such as drum circles or acoustic gigs, providing convenience for travelling musicians. Crafted from Baltic birch wood in Europe, the cajon is likely to offer durability and a pleasing aesthetic. The choice of material can also contribute to the instrument's sound quality, allowing for a great low-end punch when played near the centre of the playing surface. Additionally, the design of the Jam Cajon enables it to produce snare drum "slap" sounds when struck at the top corners of the playing surface, offering a dynamic range of tones to the player. The inclusion of fixed internal snares that rest against the inside of the front plate further enhances the cajon's responsiveness and sensitivity. This feature can be beneficial for musicians who rely on a rhythmic foundation in their acoustic music performances, as it allows for precise control over the sounds produced. Specifications: Size: 10 1/2" W x 15" H x 10 1/4" D Body material: Baltic Birch Front plate material: Almond Birch Compact size Dual internal fixed snare wires Rubber feet and rear sound port.
