The BOSTITCH T6-8OC2 Outward Clinch Stapling Tacker is designed for professionals needing a durable tool for high-volume fastening tasks. Its primary benefit is the outward clinch mechanism, which provides a secure, flat clinch ideal for attaching materials to surfaces like wood or cardboard. A potential caveat is its specialized nature; it may be less versatile for general-purpose stapling compared to standard tackers. Key features include its robust steel construction, outward clinch functionality, and a design optimized for ease of use.

The BOSTITCH T6-8OC2 requires specific BOSTITCH outward clinch staples. Consult the product manual or manufacturer's website for exact compatible staple sizes and codes.
This model features an outward clinch mechanism, which is fixed in its operation. Adjustments are typically made by the positioning of the staple legs as they are driven outward, rather than a direct adjustment screw for the clinch itself.
While durable, the outward clinch is primarily designed for attaching materials to surfaces. For heavy-duty upholstery where staples need to be embedded *into* the material, a different type of stapler or nailer might be more appropriate.
An outward clinch drives the staple legs outwards, resulting in a flatter, more secure fastening that is less likely to snag on adjacent materials. This is beneficial for applications like attaching fabric, insulation, or securing packaging.
Yes, the outward clinch stapler is suitable for soft woods, cardboard, and other materials where a secure, flat attachment is desired without damaging the surface being fastened to.
Lift the staple magazine, insert a strip of compatible BOSTITCH staples, ensuring they are correctly seated, and then close the magazine firmly until it latches.
Ensure the stapler is fully closed and latched. Check that staples are loaded correctly and the magazine is not jammed. Verify you are using the correct staple size.
Remove any bent or misfed staples from the magazine. Clean the staple channel. Ensure the staples are aligned properly before loading.
Check for obstructions in the clinch plates. Ensure the stapler is being pressed firmly and evenly against the material. Verify you are using the correct staple size for the material thickness.
Inspect the driver blade mechanism for debris. Gently clean the area and test operation. If persistent, professional servicing may be required.
