Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the planter is placed on a stable, level surface.
- If drainage holes are not pre-drilled or are insufficient for your needs, carefully drill them using an appropriate masonry bit. A minimum of one to three holes is recommended, depending on planter size and expected rainfall.
- Add a layer of gravel or broken pot shards at the bottom for improved drainage, if desired.
- Fill with a quality potting mix suitable for your chosen plants.
Compatibility:
This planter is compatible with a wide range of plants, including annuals, perennials, small shrubs, succulents, and herbs. It is designed for outdoor use and can withstand various weather conditions.
Care:
- Clean the planter periodically with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dirt and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- In regions with freezing temperatures, it is advisable to empty the planter of soil and bring it indoors or cover it to prevent frost damage, which can cause cracking.
- Inspect regularly for any signs of wear or damage.
- If algae or moss growth becomes an issue, a solution of diluted vinegar or a specialized cleaner can be used, followed by rinsing.
