Laser JIS Non-Slip Bit Set - 10pc

JIS stands for Japanese Industrial Standard. Screws manufactured to this standard have slight dimensional differences compared to standard Phillips screws, and using a dedicated JIS bit provides a more secure fit, reducing the risk of cam-out.

While they might fit, it's not recommended for optimal performance and to prevent potential damage to the screw head or the bit. These bits are specifically designed for JIS screws.

The anti-slip teeth are machined into the bit end to provide a much stronger grip on the screw recess, significantly reducing the chance of the bit 'camming out' or slipping, which can damage the screw head and the surrounding material.

The reduced shank design is for improved access in tight spaces. They are made from the same S2 steel as the other bits, but the thinner section might be more susceptible to breaking under extreme lateral force compared to a full-shank bit of the same size.

The set includes JIS standard bits in sizes Ph1, Ph2, and Ph3, with specific quantities for each: 3x JIS Ph1, 4x JIS Ph2, and 3x JIS Ph3.

Clean bits with a dry cloth after use to remove debris. Store them in the provided plastic case in a dry location to prevent corrosion.

The bits are manufactured from S2 heat-treated alloy steel, known for its strength and durability.

Ensure you are using the correct size JIS bit for the screw. Verify that the screw head is not damaged. Check that the bit's anti-slip teeth are clean and not obstructed. Apply firm, consistent pressure directly in line with the screw.

Check the bit holder for debris or damage. Ensure the bit shank is fully inserted. Try a different, known-good bit holder if possible.

Wipe the bit dry immediately with a clean cloth. Store the bits in their case in a dry environment. Minor surface rust can often be removed with a fine-grade steel wool and a light oil.
