Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure success, check your soil temperature with a thermometer before sowing; if it is consistently above 7°C, you are ready to begin. Avoid sowing during periods of heavy wind or expected frost. After sowing, keep the soil consistently damp; if the soil dries out during the initial germination phase, the seeds may fail to develop. Once the grass reaches approximately 5-8cm in height, perform the first light mow, being careful not to remove more than a third of the blade length. Avoid using heavy chemicals or weed killers on the new grass until it has been mowed at least three or four times to ensure it has reached maturity.
