Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install this unit, you will need a standard Phillips-head screwdriver. Begin by verifying your door thickness is between 1-3/8 and 1-3/4 inches. The adjustable latch system allows you to select the 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch backset by rotating the spindle mechanism. Align the handle and deadbolt hardware with your existing holes, adjusting the center-to-center distance within the 195-224 mm range to ensure a flush fit. Once tightened, test the deadbolt throw to ensure it moves freely without obstruction. For maintenance, wipe the handle periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads, as these can degrade the matte black protective finish over time.
