Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before starting installation, verify that your vehicle is equipped with the Bosch brake system and that your current drums have a 254 mm diameter. Installation should be performed by a qualified technician, as brake systems are critical safety components. When installing, ensure all contact points on the backplate are cleaned and lightly lubricated with high-temperature brake grease. After installation, perform a proper break-in procedure by avoiding aggressive braking for the first 100-200 miles to allow the shoes to bed into the drum surface. Regularly inspect the drums for scoring or overheating to extend the lifespan of the new brake shoes.
