Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose material. For best adhesion, lightly abrade non-porous surfaces.
- Cut the nozzle tip to the desired bead size. For standard caulk guns, puncture the inner seal of the tube.
- Insert the tube into a caulk gun and apply the sealant evenly to the gap or joint.
Compatibility:
This sealant is suitable for use on a wide range of common building materials including wood, concrete, brick, masonry, metal, and some plastics. It is generally compatible with most paint finishes once fully cured, but a test patch is recommended.
Care:
- Store unused tubes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the nozzle clean; if blocked, carefully clear with a pin or sharp tool.
- Clean up any excess uncured sealant immediately with a damp cloth or appropriate solvent. Cured sealant can be removed mechanically.
