FAQs

Is this set compatible with other magnetic tile brands?

This set is specifically designed for the Geomag Magnetic Tiles Gems range. Compatibility with third-party tiles may vary depending on magnet placement.

What is the best way to clean the tiles?

Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp microfiber cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use harsh chemicals as they may scratch the plastic.

Can these tiles be used for educational purposes?

Yes, they are excellent tools for teaching early geometry, symmetry, and basic structural engineering principles.

How many wheel bases are included?

The set includes two magnetic wheel bases which can be used individually or connected to form a longer train.

Are the magnets safe for children?

The magnets are securely encased within the plastic tiles; however, adult supervision is recommended for younger builders to ensure they are used as intended.

Troubleshooting

Tiles are not sticking together strongly

Ensure that the edges are aligned correctly; magnetic poles must align for a secure click. Check the edges for any trapped dust or debris.

Vehicles do not roll smoothly

Verify that the wheel bases are on a flat, level surface and that no tiles are dragging on the ground due to an uneven build.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Light-refracting design makes finished models visually striking
Strong magnetic edges provide stable construction for 3D builds
Dual-purpose: functions as both a building block set and a vehicle construction kit
Compatible with the broader Geomag Magnetic Tiles Gems product range

Cons

24-piece set size limits the complexity of massive builds
Translucent tiles require bright lighting to showcase the gem effect
Wheels roll best on smooth, flat surfaces

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Building with these tiles requires no special assembly—simply bring the magnetic edges near each other to snap them into place. Because the set is modular, it is fully compatible with other pieces in the Geomag Magnetic Tiles Gems line, allowing you to scale up your projects over time. To maintain the tiles, wipe them down with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints or dust that might cloud the diamond-cut finish. Avoid submerging the tiles in water, as moisture can potentially affect the internal magnets over long periods.
