The BIC Cristal Original Ballpoint Pens are designed for students, office professionals, and home users who require a reliable, everyday writing instrument. Their primary benefit is a consistent, smudge-free writing experience paired with a long-lasting ink supply that covers up to 3km of writing per pen. The main caveat is that these pens feature a non-retractable cap design, which may be inconvenient for users who frequently lose or misplace pen caps during fast-paced work.

No, the BIC Cristal Original pens are designed as disposable, single-use writing instruments.
Yes, the ink is archival quality and suitable for most official documentation and signatures.
Generally, no. The oil-based ink is formulated to stay on the surface of most standard weight papers.
Each individual pen is designed to write for approximately 3km.
While the ink is fast-drying and smudge-resistant, it is not specifically rated as waterproof.
Yes, the ballpoint mechanism is generally stable and pressure-resistant during air travel.
Scribble in circular motions on a piece of scratch paper to encourage ink flow and remove any dried buildup on the ball.
Ensure you are using standard paper; some glossy or non-porous papers will not absorb the oil-based ink effectively.
No complex setup is required; these pens are ready for use immediately upon removing the cap. For optimal performance, store the pens with the cap securely placed when not in use to prevent the nib from drying out. To maintain the life of the pen, avoid storing it in extreme heat or freezing temperatures, as this can affect the viscosity of the oil-based ink. If the ink appears to skip, a simple scribbling motion on a scrap piece of paper usually restores the flow by warming the ball mechanism.
