Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure both the source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console, PC) and the display device (e.g., TV, monitor, projector) are powered off.
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI output port on the source device.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI input port on the display device.
- Power on the display device first, followed by the source device.
- Select the correct HDMI input source on your display device using its remote control.
Compatibility:
This cable is designed to be compatible with any device featuring an HDMI port. Its 'High Speed with Ethernet' rating means it supports signals up to 4K resolution at 60Hz and HDR, provided that both the source and display devices also support these specifications (typically HDMI 2.0 or higher ports). It is backward compatible with older HDMI versions but will operate at the limitations of the lowest-rated component.
Care:
- Avoid excessive bending or kinking of the cable.
- Keep the connectors clean and free from dust and debris; use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
- Ensure the cable is securely plugged into both devices to maintain a stable connection.
- Protect the cable from extreme temperatures and moisture.
