Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Daler-Rowney brushes, proper cleaning is essential. For water-based media like acrylics and watercolors, rinse immediately with lukewarm water and mild soap until the water runs clear. For oil paints, remove excess color with a lint-free cloth before cleaning with an appropriate brush cleaner or low-odor solvent, followed by a gentle soap wash. Reshape the bristles while damp and lay them flat or store them bristle-up to allow them to dry completely without deforming the tips. Do not leave brushes soaking in water or solvent for extended periods, as this can damage the handle finish and loosen the ferrule.
