Setup, Compatibility & Care
When working with this fabric, you must use a 'Leather' or 'Microtex' needle, typically in size 90/14 or 100/16 depending on the number of layers. A longer stitch length is recommended to prevent perforating the fabric too closely, which can cause the material to tear along the seam line.
For care, avoid using an iron directly on the surface, as heat will melt or warp the faux leather finish. Instead, use a pressing cloth and low heat if necessary, or finger-press seams open. If you need to remove creases, hang the garment in a warm room or use a steamer on the reverse side only. Cleaning is best handled by wiping the surface with a damp, soft cloth and mild soap; do not machine wash or dry clean.
