Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The primary consideration for setup is ensuring you have the correct fitting. These legs come with two main types of fittings:
- Bolt-On Legs: These have bolts that screw into your furniture. You will need to know the bolt size (M8, M10, or M6). To determine the correct size, try fitting nuts of these sizes onto the existing bolt of your current furniture leg. If an 8mm nut fits snugly, you need M8. If it's too small, try M10. If it's too big, you need M6. Do not use a tape measure for bolt size as it is inaccurate for threaded bolts.
- Self-Fixing Legs: These have pre-drilled holes for 6mm wood screws. Ensure your furniture has a solid base suitable for screwing.
Compatibility: These legs are compatible with most furniture types that have a suitable mounting surface and existing fitting, or can accommodate wood screws. Always check the weight capacity and ensure the furniture is structurally sound before attaching new legs.
Care: To care for your Queen Anne wooden legs, dust them regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
