Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Knipex KPX 9752 06 are ready for use straight out of the packaging. Ensure the crimping dies are clean and free from debris before use. The adjustable crimping pressure can be set by locating the adjustment mechanism (refer to the tool's specific markings or manual if unsure). For initial use, it is recommended to test the tool on scrap wire and terminals to familiarize yourself with the feel and the self-releasing lock.
Compatibility: These pliers are designed for general-purpose crimping of various electrical terminals. Compatibility depends on the specific terminal type and wire gauge for which the dies are designed. Always ensure you are using the correct die set for the terminal you are crimping to achieve optimal results.
Care: Keep the tool clean and dry when not in use. Periodically wipe down the handles and head with a dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure the tool is thoroughly dried afterward. Avoid using harsh solvents. Inspect the crimping dies for wear or damage; replace if necessary. Store in a dry environment to prevent corrosion.
