The Bahco 317-40 Plastic Wheel Reamer is designed for professionals and DIY enthusiasts who need to quickly and efficiently remove burrs from both internal and external tube ends. Its primary benefit is its versatility, handling tube sizes from 3mm to 40mm. A potential caveat is that it's a light-series tool, best suited for plastic or softer materials, and may not be ideal for heavy-duty metal deburring. This reamer features a durable plastic construction and a sharp cutting wheel for precise results.

The Bahco 317-40 can handle tube sizes from 3mm up to 40mm in diameter.
This reamer is designed for light-duty use on plastic and softer materials. It is not recommended for hardened metal pipes, as it may not be effective and could damage the tool.
Apply steady, even pressure and rotate the reamer smoothly around the tube end. Ensure the cutting edge is clean and making contact with the burr.
Yes, it is suitable for professionals working with plastic plumbing components where deburring is required for proper fitting and sealing.
Clean the cutting wheel and body with a dry cloth after use and store in a dry environment.
Ensure the cutting wheel is sharp and free from debris. Apply consistent, firm pressure while rotating the reamer. Check that the tube material is compatible (i.e., plastic or soft material).
Verify that the tube diameter is within the 3-40mm range. Ensure the tube end is not excessively deformed.
Inspect the cutting wheel for wear or damage. For this light-duty reamer, replacement of the wheel itself may not be feasible; consider replacing the tool if significantly worn.
Setup: The Bahco 317-40 requires no assembly. Simply select the appropriate tube size and insert the reamer into the end of the tube.
Compatibility: This reamer is designed for use on plastic tubes and pipes, as well as other soft materials. It is compatible with tube diameters ranging from 3mm to 40mm.
Care: After each use, wipe the cutting wheel and body clean with a dry cloth. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion or damage. Avoid exposing the tool to excessive heat or harsh chemicals.
