FAQs

Is the Diesel Mega Chief waterproof?

It is water-resistant up to 100 meters (330 feet), which is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but it is not intended for deep-sea diving.

How large is the watch case?

The watch features a 51mm case, which is considered an oversized style.

Can I resize the metal bracelet myself?

It is recommended to have the bracelet resized by a professional jeweler to avoid scratching the links or damaging the deployment clasp.

Does this watch require winding?

No, this is a quartz movement watch, which is battery-operated and does not require manual winding.

Are the hands luminous?

Yes, the hands are luminous, allowing for visibility in low-light environments.

What is the movement type?

The watch uses a reliable quartz movement for high accuracy.

Troubleshooting

Watch hands have stopped moving

The battery is likely depleted. Take the watch to a certified watchmaker to have the battery replaced.

The date is incorrect

Pull the crown to the first position and rotate it to advance the date window correctly.

Chronograph hands are not resetting to zero

Consult the manual for the specific reset sequence using the side pushers to recalibrate the subdial needles.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Striking and modern design aesthetics
High water resistance suitable for swimming
Highly visible dial with luminous hands
Sturdy stainless steel bracelet with secure clasp

Cons

Large 51mm profile may be too heavy for some users
Bracelet may require professional adjustment for fit
Matte dial finish requires careful cleaning to prevent dust buildup

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set the time, pull the crown to the second click and rotate it to the desired position. Pulling the crown to the first click allows you to adjust the date. For the bracelet, if the fit is loose, visit a jeweler to have links professionally removed to ensure the deployment clasp sits securely on your wrist. To maintain the finish, wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth. While water-resistant, it is recommended to rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water to prevent mineral buildup and potential corrosion.
