Full details

The Flat Lay Co. Marshmallow Flat Lay Makeup Box Bag is designed for beauty enthusiasts who prioritize organization and efficiency. By unfolding completely into a flat tray, this bag eliminates the frustration of digging through deep pouches to find specific items, making it perfect for both vanity storage and travel. While its plush, structured design offers excellent visibility and protection, the pillowy exterior may take up more volume in tightly packed suitcases compared to traditional flat-folding organizers.

FAQs

Is this bag waterproof?

While the fabric is durable and machine-washable, it is not listed as waterproof. It is best to avoid submerging it in water.

Can I fit full-sized brushes in this bag?

Yes, the box dimensions are designed to accommodate standard makeup brushes and daily beauty essentials.

What is the best way to wash the Marshmallow bag?

Place the bag in a mesh laundry bag and wash on a cold, gentle cycle. Air dry thoroughly.

Is the exterior material prone to staining?

The material is designed to be easy to clean, but like any fabric product, it is best to wipe off any spills immediately.

Does it have internal pockets?

The bag focuses on a large, open-tray design for maximum visibility rather than multiple small internal compartments.

Troubleshooting

Zipper feels stiff or sticks during opening

Ensure no fabric lining is caught in the teeth and clean any makeup residue off the zipper track.

Bag does not lay perfectly flat

Ensure all contents are evenly distributed within the base of the bag and verify that no items are wedged in the creases.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Eliminates the need to rummage through contents
Soft, pillowy material protects delicate items
Easy to clean with machine wash compatibility
Attractive, playful checkered pattern
Provides a clean surface for your makeup application

Cons

Pillowy structure occupies more space than thin fabric bags
May not be suitable for extremely long makeup brushes
Limited organizational compartments inside the tray

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up the bag is straightforward: simply place your items inside while it is in the box shape, then pull the zipper to secure them. To access items, pull the zipper tabs fully around the perimeter to allow the sides to fall outward.

Regarding care, the machine-washable nature of the fabric is its best feature. If your cosmetics spill, simply empty the bag and toss it in the wash on a gentle cycle. Always ensure the bag is completely air-dried before using it again to prevent moisture buildup inside the lining.
