The Mitre Essentials Quilted Mattress Protector is a professional-grade solution designed for hospitality providers and homeowners who want to extend the lifespan of their mattresses. It provides a reliable barrier against stains, bacteria, and general wear while maintaining a low-profile feel that guests won't notice. While it offers excellent hygiene and durability, it lacks a waterproof backing, meaning it is better suited for general protection rather than spill containment.

No, this product is designed for protection against dust, bacteria, and wear, but it does not have a waterproof membrane.
We recommend following the care label on the product, but generally, a low-heat tumble dry is safe for most polyester-based quilted protectors.
No, this is specifically sized for a Super King (1820mm x 1980mm). It will be too large for a standard King size bed.
In a commercial setting, wash it during every changeover. For personal home use, washing once a month is typically sufficient for hygiene.
The protector acts as a physical barrier against bacteria and dust, providing hygienic protection through its construction rather than chemical additives.
Ensure the elasticated straps are firmly tucked under the corners of the mattress; if the mattress is thinner than average, consider adding a tension clip to the straps.
Smooth the protector out from the center toward the corners before applying the fitted sheet to ensure the quilted surface is flat.
Setup is straightforward: simply stretch the elasticated straps over the four corners of your super king mattress. The protector is designed for standard 1820mm x 1980mm mattresses. For care, it is machine washable at 40 degrees Celsius. Regular washing is recommended to maintain a sanitary environment. Always ensure the protector is completely dry before placing it back on the bed to avoid potential mildew buildup.
