Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
Before purchasing, verify that your vehicle model and year are listed within the product's compatibility information. This specific part is for the Left Hand Side mirror only and fits various models including specific generations of the Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner/Expert/Rifter/Traveller, Toyota Proace/Proace Verso/Proace City, and Vauxhall Combo/Vivaro. Ensure your vehicle matches the listed descriptions (e.g., Mk 2/Mk 3, Facelift models).
Installation:
- Carefully remove the damaged mirror glass from its housing. Often, this can be done by gently prying it away or using a trim removal tool.
- Disconnect any wiring if the old glass had heating elements and was wired.
- Identify the connectors for the heating element on the new Summit mirror glass.
- Connect these wires to the corresponding wires in your vehicle's mirror housing. Refer to your vehicle's manual or online guides if unsure about wire colors or connections.
- Align the new mirror glass with the backing plate and gently press it into place until it clips securely into the mirror housing.
- Test the mirror's heating function by turning on your vehicle's rear defroster or a dedicated mirror heating switch, if applicable.
Care:
Clean the mirror glass using a soft, lint-free cloth and a standard glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface. For the heating element, ensure connections are secure; no specific maintenance is required beyond occasional cleaning of the glass surface.
