FAQs
Is this food suitable for puppies or senior dogs?
Simpsons Premium Complete Adult Chicken & Brown Rice is specifically formulated for adult dogs. Puppies and senior dogs have different nutritional requirements, and a diet tailored to their life stage is recommended.
How much food should I give my dog?
Feeding guidelines are typically provided on the packaging based on the dog's weight. However, these are general recommendations. Adjust the amount based on your dog's age, activity level, and body condition. Consult your veterinarian for personalized recommendations.
Can I mix this dry food with wet food?
You can mix dry and wet food, but ensure you adjust the total quantity to avoid overfeeding. It's best not to mix them in the same meal for every feeding; alternating meals or feeding them separately can be beneficial for digestion.
What is the shelf life of an opened bag?
Once opened, it is best to use the food within 4-6 weeks, ensuring the bag is sealed tightly after each use and stored in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
Does this food contain artificial colors or preservatives?
The product description focuses on natural ingredients like chicken and brown rice. While not explicitly stated as free from artificial additives, the emphasis is on a nutritious, balanced diet. For specific ingredient concerns, refer to the detailed ingredient list on the product packaging.
Where is Simpsons Premium food manufactured?
The product information provided does not specify the manufacturing location. For details on the origin of the product, please refer to the packaging or contact the manufacturer directly.
Troubleshooting
Dog experiencing digestive upset (e.g., loose stools) after switching foods.
Slow down the transition process. Gradually increase the amount of new food over a longer period (10-14 days). If symptoms persist, consult your veterinarian.
Dog is not eating the food.
Ensure the food is fresh and stored correctly. Try warming the kibble slightly with a small amount of warm water (do not soak). Ensure your dog has had adequate time to adjust from their previous food. Consult your vet if the refusal is prolonged.
Dog's coat appears dull or skin is dry.
While this food is balanced, check feeding amounts and ensure adequate water intake. If the issue persists after several weeks, consult your veterinarian, as this could indicate other underlying health issues or a need for a different dietary supplement.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: No specific setup is required; this is a ready-to-serve dry food. When introducing Simpsons Premium Adult Chicken & Brown Rice to your dog's diet, it is crucial to do so gradually over 7-10 days. Mix a small amount of the new food with their current food, increasing the proportion of the new food while decreasing the old food each day to allow your dog's digestive system to adjust.
Compatibility: This formula is suitable for all adult dog breeds. It is a complete and balanced diet, meaning it does not require additional supplements unless specifically recommended by a veterinarian. If your dog has known allergies or sensitivities, consult with your vet before switching.
Care: Store the food in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the packaging is sealed tightly after opening to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. Do not store wet food remnants with the dry kibble. Always provide your dog with fresh, clean water at all times.
