Product Information

Full details

Mainline Hempseed Oil is an essential, high-quality natural attractant designed for dedicated carp anglers looking to boost the appeal of their bait. It is ideal for carp fishing enthusiasts who utilize spod mixes, boilies, or pellets and want to create a lingering scent profile in the water column. While highly effective at drawing fish in, users should note that the oil is potent and requires careful application to avoid oversaturating bait, which can occasionally affect the buoyancy or breakdown rate of certain hookbaits.

FAQs

Is this oil PVA friendly?

Yes, Mainline Hempseed Oil is safe for use with PVA bags and meshes, allowing you to use it directly at the spot of your rig.

Can I use this with any type of bait?

It is highly versatile and works excellently with boilies, pellets, particles, and groundbait mixes.

Does it attract anything other than carp?

While formulated for carp, the natural hemp scent is an attractant that may draw in other coarse fish species present in the swim.

How should I store the bottle?

Keep it in a cool, dry, and dark place. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme heat.

How much should I use per kilogram of bait?

Because it is concentrated, we recommend starting with a light coating and adjusting based on the specific bait type and water conditions.

Troubleshooting

Oil appears thick or cloudy in cold weather

This is a natural occurrence with organic oils. Warm the bottle slightly in your hands or leave it in a warm room before use to restore its liquid consistency.

Bait seems too soggy after application

Reduce the quantity of oil added. Start with a smaller dose and build up until you reach the desired coating level without affecting the bait's structural integrity.

Proven natural attractant for carp
Extremely versatile for different bait types

Cons

Small 250ml bottle can be used quickly if over-applied

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To use, simply pour a measured amount over your bait mix and shake to ensure even coating. The product is compatible with all standard carp baits, including particles, pellets, and boilies. Regarding care, keep the bottle tightly sealed when not in use to prevent oxidation and spills. Store in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight, as high temperatures can degrade the natural oils and affect their potency over time. Always ensure the cap is tightened correctly after every session to prevent leakage inside your bait bucket.
