Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Surface Preparation: Clean the surface thoroughly. Remove any old sealant, dirt, grease, and mildew. Use a solvent if necessary. Ensure the surface is completely dry.
- Application: Cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle to the desired bead size. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun. Apply a continuous bead of sealant.
- Finishing: Smooth the sealant bead with a wet finger or a smoothing tool. This ensures a proper seal and a neat finish.
Compatibility:
Soudal Bathroom & Kitchen Silicone Sealant adheres well to most non-porous surfaces like ceramic, glass, and acrylic. However, it may not be compatible with all types of plastics or porous materials. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility. Avoid using it on areas in constant contact with food.
Care:
Clean the sealed areas regularly with a mild detergent and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they can damage the sealant. Inspect the seal periodically for any signs of damage or cracking. Reapply if necessary.
