FAQs

Will these fit a non-Carp Porter barrow?

These bags are specifically designed for the Carp Porter range. While they may fit other barrows with similar side bar dimensions, we cannot guarantee a secure fit for non-specified models.

Do these bags come in pairs?

Yes, each purchase includes two storage bags, one for each side of your barrow.

Are the bags waterproof?

They are constructed from high-performance materials that are water-resistant, protecting your gear from splashes and rain, though they are not intended for full submersion.

How much weight can these bags hold?

While durable, it is recommended to keep weight distributed evenly to avoid putting excessive strain on the barrow frame or the bag's Velcro straps.

Can I leave these on the barrow during transport?

Yes, if they are securely fastened, they can remain on the barrow during transport; however, ensure they do not obstruct the folding mechanism if you need to collapse the barrow.

Troubleshooting

Bags shifting or sliding on side bars

Ensure the Velcro straps are pulled as tight as possible and the bag is positioned firmly against the vertical upright of the barrow frame.

Difficulty aligning cutouts with barrow straps

Loosen the bag's main attachment straps, align the cutouts with the barrow hardware, and then re-tighten the Velcro straps in a specific sequence to maintain tension.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Increases barrow storage capacity significantly
Lightweight yet highly durable build quality
Easy and quick attachment mechanism
Professional Dark Kamo aesthetic
Maintains gear accessibility during transit

Cons

Specific compatibility limited to Carp Porter models
Cannot be used on barrows without side bars
Requires careful alignment to fit existing strap cutouts

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup is straightforward: align the bags with the side frame rails of your compatible barrow, feed the Velcro straps through the integrated mounting points, and pull them taut to secure the base. These bags are specifically compatible with the Carp Porter MK2, MK2 FatBoy, Xtreme Power Porter, and Big Boy Tri-Porter. To maintain the life of the fabric, ensure you wipe off excess mud after use with a damp cloth and allow the bags to air dry completely before storing them in a cool, dry place. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that might degrade the water-resistant coating of the fabric.
