FAQs
Do I need the first Season Pass to play Season Pass 2?
No, Season Pass 2 is independent and focuses on its own unique content, though you must own the base Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous game.
Can I play the DLCs in any order?
Yes, as they are separate expansions, though the developers suggest exploring them as you progress through the main campaign to maintain narrative continuity.
Is the Shifter class available in the main campaign?
Yes, once you own the Season Pass, the Shifter class becomes available for any new campaign or playthrough.
How long does it take to complete the DLC 5 campaign?
The DLC 5 standalone campaign takes approximately 6-7 hours to complete depending on your playstyle and difficulty settings.
Are there new mythic paths in these DLCs?
No, the focus of Season Pass 2 is on new classes, standalone narratives, and social expansions rather than expanding the base mythic path system.
What happens if I don't have a 'Through the Ashes' save file?
You can still play the DLC 5 campaign as a standalone experience without requiring a specific previous save file.
Troubleshooting
New class (Shifter) not appearing in character creation
Verify that the Season Pass 2 license is active on your platform account and perform a game file integrity check.
DLC 5 save data not carrying over
Ensure the save file from the 'Through the Ashes' campaign is present and not corrupted; try reloading a previous save from that campaign to trigger a fresh export.
Content missing after update
Restart your game client and the platform launcher to refresh the content entitlement cache.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Adds significant gameplay variety with the unique Shifter class
- Provides a mix of intense combat and social narrative opportunities
- Offers a standalone experience that can be played independently or linked to previous save files
- Expands the lore and geographical scope of the Pathfinder universe
Cons
- Requires the base game to function
- DLC 5 relies on different power scaling mechanics than the standard campaign
- Content may feel disjointed due to the varying nature of the three separate DLC packs
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Ensure that your version of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is updated to the latest patch to guarantee compatibility with all Season Pass 2 components. To access the new classes, you simply need to start a new character creation process, where the Shifter class will now appear as an option. For the standalone campaigns, access them via the 'New Game' or 'DLC' menu from the main title screen. It is recommended to perform a local save backup before transitioning save data from 'Through the Ashes' into DLC 5 to prevent potential file corruption. Keep your storage drive free of errors to ensure the assets for these three distinct expansions load correctly during campaign transitions.
