The Lowenergie Solar Panel Mounting Single Cable Entry is designed for DIYers and professional installers looking to route solar cabling into motorhomes, campervans, caravans, and marine vessels. Its primary benefit is the creation of a watertight, drill-free seal that protects your vehicle's roof integrity, though it does require the separate purchase of a strong adhesive sealant for proper mounting.

No, the adhesive sealant is sold separately. It is recommended to use a high-quality marine-grade or automotive-grade polyurethane sealant.
This specific model is designed as a single cable entry. For dual-cable setups, consider a double-entry version or two separate single units.
Yes, it is suitable for fiberglass, metal, and plastic roof surfaces, provided the surface is cleaned and prepped according to instructions.
The gland is designed to fit standard solar cable dimensions commonly used in 12V/24V solar setups (typically 4mm² to 6mm²).
The unit is made from UV-resistant materials, which are designed to withstand sun exposure and resist discoloration better than standard plastics.
The surface was likely not cleaned properly before application; remove the unit, clean thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, and re-apply with fresh high-grade adhesive.
Tighten the cable gland nut further or apply a small amount of silicone sealant around the cable exit point to increase friction and ensure a tighter hold.
To install, first thoroughly clean the roof surface with an alcohol-based cleaner to remove grease and debris. Apply a bead of recommended structural adhesive (such as Sikaflex) to the underside flange of the entry gland. Press the unit firmly onto the roof and allow the adhesive to cure fully according to the manufacturer's instructions before exposing it to moisture. For care, perform a bi-annual inspection of the adhesive seal to ensure no gaps have formed due to thermal expansion or contraction. Keep the white casing clean to maintain its UV-reflective properties.
