Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Upon receiving the bike, it's recommended to have it professionally assembled or to carefully follow the manufacturer's instructions for final setup. This typically involves installing the handlebars, pedals, and seatpost, and ensuring all bolts are correctly tightened.
Compatibility:
The bike is equipped with the Bosch Smart System, which may allow for integration with the Bosch eBike Flow app for ride tracking, system updates, and customization of support modes. Check the Bosch website for the latest app compatibility information with your smartphone.
Care:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the bike, especially the drivetrain and suspension, using mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washers, particularly near bearings and the motor.
- Battery: Store the PowerTube battery in a cool, dry place when not in use, and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. Follow Bosch guidelines for optimal charging and storage.
- Drivetrain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Periodically check for wear on the chain, cassette, and chainring.
- Tires: Maintain proper tire pressure for optimal performance and to prevent flats. Check tire sidewalls for recommended pressure ranges.
- Brakes: Regularly inspect brake pads and rotors for wear. Ensure brake levers feel firm and responsive.
