The Nordwand Alpine Belay is an innovative and robust belay device. It features V-shaped grooves and rear rope-bearing surfaces made of abrasion-resistant steel to prevent wear. The steel insert also prevents any overheating of the belay device. The housing is made of lightweight aluminum, which gives the product a total weight of only 80 g. This system is suitable for single, double and half ropes with a diameter of 7.5 to 10.5 mm.
