FAQs
What material is the jar made from?
The jar is crafted from borosilicate glass, known for its durability and heat resistance.
Can I put hot food in the jar?
While borosilicate glass has good thermal shock resistance, it is not recommended to place extremely hot items directly into the jar. Allow food to cool slightly before storing or serving.
Is the jar dishwasher safe?
No, the jar is strictly hand-wash only to preserve its finish and prevent damage.
What are the dimensions of the jar?
Specific dimensions are not provided in the product description, but it is described as a substantial piece.
Can the yellow handle and foot be removed?
The description indicates the handle and foot are part of the design and not designed to be removable.
What is the purpose of the footed base?
The cylindrical footed base provides stability and elevates the jar, adding to its decorative appeal.
Troubleshooting
Lid does not fit snugly.
Ensure the rim of the jar and the inside of the lid are clean and dry. Gently adjust the lid to find the optimal fit. Minor variations in glass blowing can affect fit.
Glass appears cloudy after washing.
This can sometimes happen with hard water. Try washing with a soft cloth and a mild vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a soft towel.
Small imperfections in the glass.
Slight variations, small air bubbles, or minor color inconsistencies are inherent characteristics of handmade glass and do not affect the product's functionality or safety.
