Troubleshooting

Shower enclosure leaks

Ensure all seals are correctly fitted and making full contact. Check that the shower tray is level and properly sealed to the floor and walls. Verify that the enclosure is plumbed correctly and the waste is not blocked.

Doors are stiff or difficult to slide

Clean the rollers and tracks thoroughly. Check for any obstructions or debris. If necessary, use the quick-release mechanism to remove doors for cleaning and inspect rollers for damage. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the tracks if needed.

Water pooling on the floor outside the enclosure

Verify that the magnetic seals are aligned and creating a tight closure. Ensure the enclosure is installed correctly, with adequate drainage from the shower tray. Check that the enclosure is level.

Glass appears cloudy or has water marks

Clean the glass with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth. For stubborn marks, use a specialized glass cleaner for shower enclosures. Ensure the water-repellent coating is intact; reapplication may be necessary if it has worn off significantly.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Nuie Lucie Offset Quadrant Shower Enclosure features a patented Easyfit profile assembly system designed for straightforward installation. However, professional installation is recommended to ensure a perfect fit and water seal. Ensure the shower area is prepared according to the instructions, including the placement of the shower tray (sold separately).

Compatibility: This enclosure is designed to be installed in a corner and requires a compatible offset quadrant shower tray of the correct dimensions (1200mm x 800mm). It is compatible with most standard shower valves and heads. Note that a suitable shower waste is also required and sold separately.

Care: To maintain the pristine appearance of your shower enclosure:

Daily Cleaning: Wipe down the glass and frame with a soft, damp cloth after each use to prevent water spots.
Regular Cleaning: Use a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner suitable for glass and chrome. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could damage the finish or the water-repellent coating.
Glass Maintenance: The water-repellent treatment on the glass helps minimize limescale. Periodically, you may need to use a specialized glass cleaner for shower enclosures if buildup occurs.
Mechanism Care: Ensure the rollers remain free of debris. Use the quick-release wheels to detach doors for thorough cleaning of tracks and rollers. Lubricate rollers sparingly with a silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
