Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before installation, it is crucial to verify that the WINCHMAX T1 Aluminium Wheel Spacers are compatible with your specific vehicle model and year. Ensure that the hub bore matches your vehicle's hub and that there is sufficient clearance for your brake calipers and any suspension components. It is recommended to consult your vehicle's manual or a professional if unsure.
Installation:
- Ensure the vehicle is safely parked on a level surface with the parking brake engaged.
- Loosen the lug nuts on all wheels.
- Safely lift and support the vehicle using jack stands.
- Remove the wheel.
- Clean the hub surface thoroughly.
- Mount the spacer onto the hub, ensuring it sits flush.
- Reinstall the original wheel studs or extended studs if required. Ensure proper thread engagement. *Note: Longer wheel studs may be necessary if the original studs protrude through the spacer.*
- Hand-tighten the lug nuts.
- Repeat for all wheels.
- Once all spacers are installed, lower the vehicle.
- Torque the lug nuts to your vehicle manufacturer's specifications in a star pattern.
Torque Check: After driving approximately 50-100 miles, re-torque all lug nuts to ensure they remain secure.
Care: Clean the spacers periodically with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the aluminum finish. Regularly inspect for any signs of damage or wear.
