FAQs

What is the recommended age for this building set?

This set is recommended for builders aged 8 and older due to the complexity of the mechanism and smaller pieces.

Are the Pokemon figures compatible with other sets?

Yes, the included figure is designed to be compatible with other LEGO Pokemon SMART Play sets.

Do I need a screen to play with this set?

No, this is designed specifically for screen-free, hands-on construction and interactive play.

How many pieces are in the box?

The Drone Search for Mythical Mew set contains 429 pieces.

Can the drone fly on its own?

The drone is a stationary build intended for manual manipulation and role play, not remote-controlled flight.

Troubleshooting

SMART Brick is not reacting to the drone or ruins.

Ensure the SMART Brick is fully powered and positioned close enough to the embedded SMART Tags within the set.

The wall is not collapsing when the berry hits the target.

Check the wall construction to ensure the trigger piece is correctly aligned and not obstructed by extra bricks.

Drone rotors are stiff or not tilting smoothly.

Ensure that the hinge pieces are snapped firmly into place without excessive pressure which can cause friction.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Encourages creative, screen-free imaginative play
Dynamic physical play features like the collapsing wall
Integrates seamlessly with the broader SMART Play ecosystem
High-quality, durable building bricks

Cons

SMART Brick required for lights and sounds must be purchased separately
Small parts require careful organization during assembly
Requires adult supervision for younger builders to ensure consistent play mechanics

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin, assemble the ruins and the drone using the included instruction manual, ensuring that all SMART Tags are correctly placed within the specified bricks. The set is compatible with other SMART Play components; simply bring your separately purchased SMART Brick near the tagged pieces to trigger the audio-visual feedback. For care, keep the pieces away from moisture and direct heat. If the bricks become dusty, use a dry, soft brush to clean them, avoiding harsh chemicals that may degrade the plastic or the embedded SMART Tags.
