Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before purchasing, it is crucial to determine the correct fitting for your furniture. Most legs feature bolt fixings in sizes M8, M10, or M6, or are self-fixing with pre-drilled holes for wood screws. To identify the bolt size of existing legs:
- Attempt to fit a nut onto the existing bolt.
- If an 8mm nut fits securely, you require M8 fittings.
- If an 8mm nut is too small, try a 10mm nut. If it fits, you need M10 fittings.
- If an 8mm nut is too large, try a 6mm nut. If it fits, you require M6 fittings.
Installation: For bolt-fix legs, simply screw them into the corresponding threaded inserts on your furniture. For self-fixing legs, ensure you have the correct size wood screws and pre-drill pilot holes into the furniture base as needed.
Care: To maintain the finish of the dark oak stain, wipe the legs with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the wood stain and finish.
