Product Information
Full details
The Ciano Fish Protection Dosator is an essential tool for freshwater aquarium owners looking to automate water conditioning and fish health maintenance. Designed to provide a continuous, 60-day release of protective vitamins and plant extracts, it effectively shields fish gills, skin, and fins without requiring daily manual dosing. While it significantly reduces maintenance effort, users should note that the unit requires a full replacement every 60 days rather than a simple refill, which is an important consideration for long-term operational costs.

FAQs
How do I know when the 60 days are up?
The Ciano App provides a notification reminder. You should also mark the installation date on your calendar as a secondary safety measure.
Is this safe for shrimp or invertebrates?
The Fish Protection Dosator is designed for general freshwater fish health. While generally safe, check the specific product label regarding invertebrate sensitivities.
Can I refill the doser myself?
No, the Ciano Fish Protection Dosator is a sealed, single-use system designed to be replaced in its entirety after 60 days.
Does it affect water chemistry?
The additive is formulated to be neutral, but it is always recommended to monitor basic parameters like pH and ammonia when adding any new supplements to your tank.
What happens if I don't use the app?
You can still use the Dosator, but you must manually keep track of the 60-day cycle to ensure you do not leave an empty or expired unit in the tank for too long.
Troubleshooting
Unit does not click when pressed
Ensure you are applying firm, steady pressure on the designated areas of the casing. If it remains stuck, check that there is no debris preventing the mechanism from compressing.
Suction cups will not stick to the glass
Clean the aquarium glass with an algae scraper or soft cloth to remove film, and rinse the suction cups with warm water before reapplying.
App notification not received
Verify that you have enabled push notifications for the Ciano App in your smartphone settings and confirmed the start date of the treatment within the app interface.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the device is straightforward: simply press the dosator body until you hear an audible click to break the internal seal and initiate the flow. For installation, clean the aquarium glass thoroughly to ensure the suction cups create a strong seal, or slide the unit into the designated mounting clips if you own a Ciano Aqua model. The system is designed for freshwater environments only. Care is minimal; because it is a single-use disposable system, there is no need to clean internal components. Simply monitor the tank for the 60-day mark, using the Ciano App notifications to signal when it is time to remove the spent unit and replace it with a fresh one.
