FAQs

What material is the Fixapart SWB KS-10BLACK made of?

The wrapping band is made of plastic.

What is the diameter range this wrap can accommodate?

It can manage cable bundles ranging from 7.5mm to 60mm in diameter.

How many wrapping bands are included in a pack?

Each pack contains one piece of the wrapping band.

Is this product suitable for outdoor use?

While durable, it is primarily designed for indoor cable management. Extended outdoor exposure may degrade the plastic.

Can I cut the wrapping band to a specific length?

Yes, the plastic material allows you to cut it to the desired length for custom fits.

What is the main purpose of this product?

Its main purpose is to bundle, organize, and protect cables, reducing clutter and improving aesthetics.

What color is the cable wrap?

The cable wrap is black.

Troubleshooting

Wrap is too loose

Ensure you are wrapping the band tightly around the cable bundle. For thicker bundles, you may need to overlap more of the wrap.

Wrap is too tight and restricting cable movement

Unwrap and reapply with less tension, or consider a larger diameter wrap if available.

Cable ends are not fully contained

Start the wrap closer to the device connection point and ensure you cover the entire length of the bundle that needs management.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Effectively bundles and organizes multiple cables.
  • Protects cables from dust and potential damage.
  • Flexible diameter range accommodates various cable sizes.
  • Simple to install by wrapping around existing cables.
  • Discreet black color for aesthetic integration.

Cons

  • Sold individually, requiring multiple purchases for larger cable runs.
  • May not be suitable for extremely high-temperature environments.
  • Plastic material could be susceptible to cracking if bent sharply or repeatedly.
  • Limited to cable management and basic insulation, not for electrical shielding.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Gather the cables you wish to bundle together.
  2. Starting at one end of the cable bundle, begin wrapping the spiral band tightly around the cables.
  3. Continue wrapping until all cables are enclosed and the desired length is covered. You can cut the wrap to size if needed, though it is designed to be flexible enough to simply stop wrapping.

Compatibility:

  • Compatible with most standard audio-visual, computer, and power cables.
  • Suitable for cable bundles with a diameter between 7.5mm and 60mm.

Care:

  • Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspect periodically for signs of wear or damage, especially if exposed to significant movement or stress.
