Installation
- Ensure the engine is off and cool.
- Locate the old oil filter and remove it using the appropriate tool.
- Lightly lubricate the rubber seal of the new Mahle OC405/3 filter with fresh oil.
- Screw the new filter on by hand until the seal makes contact, then tighten it according to the filter's instructions (usually about 1/2 to 3/4 turn).
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
